Straightening Out Media Bias
After a little research into a new project (about which I'll be posting here soon) I came across some media reports which just, well, surprised me to put it mildly. Let's just say the media is surprisingly good at hiding it's bias. It's difficult to tell if a subject (or even reporter) has a bias in what they report, especially when using "anonymous" sources.
Therefore, I propose the following: all media personel must report their: ethnicity, religion, cultural background and anything else which might make them biased on anything they've reported. (are they reporting on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict? Are they Jewish and once lived for several years in Israel?)
In support of this I've added a little information about myself in my profile's "about me" section. After all, if I'm attacking everyone else's religion I should allow them to see what my own position is and give them the chance to attack mine.
The truth can stand on its own.
